Death Notice for John Stanley

LATE MR. JOHN STANLEY.

Apprentice Boys at Funeral.

There was large attendance of members of the Apprentice Boys Clubs of Portadown and district at the funeral to St. Saviour’s burying-ground on Monday of the remains of the late Mr. John Stanley, Ballinteggart.

Deceased, who was one the kindest and gentlest of men. with nice sense of humour, was held in the highest respect by a wide circle. He was a liberal contributor to any object that commanded his sympathy and his death will be widely regretted.

He was a brother of Messrs. Richard, Thomas and Ralph Stanley, well-known local gentlemen, and uncle of Mr. J. G. Stanley, secretary of the Ulster Fruit Growers’ Marketing Association.

There was large attendance of the general public in addition to the members of the Apprentice Boys’ Clubs, who also sent wreath.

Mr. John Montgomery had charge of the funeral arrangements.
